IMI News Web Content

IMI was a Pension Geeks client, who needed an accessible, detail-oriented website to help communicate important news items, updates and information about their workplace pension scheme to employees. Content includes both articles and video (from scripted film to interviews, all of which I plan and script).

We developed a ‘newsroom’ to fit into the wider theme of a ‘pension city’, which characterised the employee benefits site and app.

I wrote all the website copy (including the member journey and technical pension information pages), and content.

See the site, and specifically its news content, here.

Articles

Content for IMI News included writing 3 articles per month to IMI’s TOV. These were targeted at IMI employees within their workplace pension scheme, and served as explainers, interviews, news bulletins, and thought pieces.

I designed, planned and pitched a flexible content plan to stakeholders.

Video Interviews

Over time, the project’s scope broadened and we created videos evolving the ‘IMI Newsroom’ content into something that evoked a broadcaster.

Working within the video content plan, my role is to interview experts and agree a narrative with all the stakeholders, articulating that narrative through the interview. I scripted the films and was on set to support the presenters and on-screen interviewers and actors to help them deliver key messaging.

Film addressing the ethnicity pay gap with an interview conducted with the inclusion and diversity lead, and other experts with EDI responsibilities. I conducted research, wrote the script, and developed interview questions. The script was presented by an actor and directed by others.

This used footage from an interview I conducted with Sir Steve Webb, the ex-minister for pensions and now an expert consultant in the pensions market. My script for ‘money mind’ was presented by an actor and directed by others.
